What gracious = hosts they were !!! We stayed up until 1 am talking rotaries, etc. The = next morning, Tracy Crook arrived as did Ed Anderson with roaring = fly-bys prior to landing. The first evening, we all agreed to try the = local catfish restaurant for a really good meal. We were all treated to = a nice breakfast by Tupper in the morning, then followed by a great = barbeque cookout for lunch. I'm glad I didn't fly there.....My plane = would never have gotten off the ground after all we ate. There were lots = of experimental aircraft including a Swearingen SX300 that, to my = surprise, landed on the grass strip. Amazing ...with that short coupled = landing gear and tiny tires. I watched his departure with crossed = fingers. Fortunately, it was uneventful. RV aircraft were there in = numbers. The weather was sunny and warm (bordering on hot), but there = were plenty of cold beverages and covered areas to counter the heat. = Wonderful barbeque pork, beans, corn, hot dogs, salads, deserts, etc, = etc. Of course the nicest part of these events are the people you meet = and exchange addresses with. For those unable to attend this year, I = would highly recommend marking it on your calendar for next year if = Charlie and Tupper offer to throw another such party.
