I currently don't have any proper gauges (I'd just bought some when the EM-2 was announced, so I took 'em right back). I've got a couple of small industrial pressure gauges on the fuel, coolant and oil & a digital multi meter on the battery. These are enough to let me know that alt is charging, oil pump is pumping, etc. I takes a few minutes for the hoses to begin to get warm and when they do I shut down. Unless you plan to do an extended run while tuning the engine, heat shouldn't be an issue. I ran mine long enough to adjust the timing and confirm that most EC-2 functions work. I won't get into any serious tuning until I get the EM-2 installed. So go ahead and start the beast... you know you want to :-) I've got my entire exhaust system installed including my own SpinTech. I just finished installing an electronic constant speed governor for my prop, so tomorrow I think I'll roll her outside and fire it up. I'm real curious to hear how that muffler works. Hope to hear of your engine run tomorrow. S. I opened the box with the temporary gauges and permanent senders today, and found that one of the senders wasn’t going to work out. The temp sender hole on the water pump housing is 12 X 1.5, and VDO didn’t list a sender in that thread, for a 250 degree gauge. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free.
