Hey, I would have one of the few RX-7 1/2 engines in an aircraft - bragging rights!  But, you are right, its just I hate paying almost twice as much for a 9.7:1 rotor.

The prices I am getting on the Rx-8 rotors here have ranged from $322 USD from Mazdatrix to $378.86 from a Mazda discount parts place (they pay the shipping).

Hi Ed,

A couple other options on pricing would be to call Bruce, since he passes along a nice discount on parts.  Also try my favorite Mazda parts place-  http://www.mazdaformance.com/ .

From what I think we've learned here, I just don't see any compelling reason to go through the pain and suffering of fitting Renesis rotors, particularly since you would like to have your plane home sooner, rather than later.   If you just want to be able to brag about having Renesis parts in your engine, see if you can find something easier, like maybe the big flywheel nut :-)
