They were cleaned and rated by concern on the west coast. First one was replaced with a new Beck-Arnley through your friends at AZO. That brought an improvement, but no joy. Next two more were replaced. (All the while I'm trying to save $124 each by using the originals). Finally, the last was replaced. Also, I discovered I had crossed two wires from the EC2 to the control panel which really confused every mode from 4 on. Result was bad programming on my part. When the injectors were replaced and the wires straight, it was a piece of cake to do the programming. Experience, even bad experience, is the best teacher. It is a little complicated to learn the EC2 programming, but Tracy has helped at every step. As predicted the EC2 is rich on the low side and maybe a little too lean on the high end. I noticed today that at WOT and 4350 rpm that the mixture meter read four bars. I might get more power with a little richer setting. Huh? Also EGT was 1650 which also indicates a little too lean. (According to what Al and Tracy have reported) Now. The engine runs well and smooth throughout its throttle range. I start with one complete turn of the vernier throttle, cold start on(when cold) and a little rich. This will produce an initial idle of about 1850-1950rpm. this is good until the engine warms up and then it will idle down to as low as 1400 static or 1250 if in motion. it feels good and smooth at about 2000. When the wx clears a little, I think maybe this Sunday, we are going flying. Regards, Tommy<>< What finally fixed your idle problem? I know you were ordering injectors. Was that it? Cheers, Rusty (finishing plumbing this weekend, then only wiring remains) >> Homepage: http://www.flyrotary.com/ >> Archive: http://lancaironline.net/lists/flyrotary/List.html
