With all of the above said: We have YET to attain even
the SAME horsepower on the dyno as we are getting from our race engine(s) using
the 89-91 non-turbo rotors !!!
I think the folks at Mazda ran the data that
showed the higher compression did not give more power above about 6000 rpm on
the pre-renesis engines. We had this discussion once before, but Leon
blew me out of the water with something about BMEP (even when measured) was a
purely hypothetical number and didn’t relate to hp (even though it is a
standard measure of power used by the engine manufacturers); so I shut up J
