I ran the engine this morning with the pitch reset at a nominal 60". WOT produced static rpm of 4350 (smooth) at MAP of a hair under 30". If Tracy's delta rpm of 1200 hold true for this prop, then we should see 5550 for WOT cruise and about 150kts. (Vne is 167kts., Va is 98kts.) Seems to be a reasonable place to start, or am I missing something? Tommy<>< "But you need to clarify your test results a bit. What does it mean when you say you were at less than full throttle "but the engine did not seem to want to advance from there"? Do you mean that the engine does not go faster when the manifold pressure goes from 25" to 30"? If so, this defies all logic and qualifies as in the "do not fly until solved" category."
