Here is pic of the plenum (at this point a piece of 1/4 inch ply. The ram air scoop will be 4 inches wide and two inches high. The filter is a K & N big enough to not choke the engine. In this picture it is wedged between the plenum and the firewall. When installed it will clear the firewall by about one inch. The piece of plywood represents the cowl which clears the plenum by 1/4 inch (can't see because of the camera angle.) The same arrangement could be used for a conventional ported engine with four runners with the advantage that it could be made much lower since 3 inch dia bell mouths would not be required. To fit the plenum where it is, the top boss for the alternator stud had to be cut off, so the alt has to be relocated. I also ground off extra material around the ERG valve opening and anything else on the top side that got in the way. There is plenty of room for the conventional water pump. Ram or filtered air selected by single flapper valve. Variations on this would probably fit most installations. Jerry
