I love my canard..and yes, it is a lot of fun, uh, work, but I can fully understand why Vans has 4000 planes flying...and flying well. I do know the aluminum planes are a lot cleaner. I am in the ugliest phase of composite building. Finished "dry" running the ailerons tonight and should be starting to make it look pretty in the next few weeks.....after some ancillary lay-ups.
