I don't know what it was exactly. It was a tiny thing that protected the
points in a lawn mower. If you come up with some data on the inductor, one of
these electronics guys could figure it out to four places. I think that almost
anything would work.
And certainly better than nothing. And there are thousands working just fine
with nothing at all to protect the switch.
