Didn't know you were on-line at Sun & Fun.  Looks like I am going to need some of your fine apex seals as well as "O" rings, seals, etc.  so don't goof off there at Sun & Fun too long, you have customers waiting {:>).
 
Seriously, hope everything is going great and you and Laura and all the gang are having a great time.  By the way, remind Laura about the banquet ticket to Van's evening - might want to let them know I won't be there.  If the ticket is already paid for (I think I did that by credit card) then see if anyone there might want to use it.
 
This is my authorization for Laura Crook to pick up my Banquet ticket.

Hi  Paul, the scat tube was 2.75" dia & about 4 ft long.  Gave me a major power loss (compared to ram air) partly due to pressure drop (1 - 2" Hg) and partly due to temperature rise, about 25 - 30 F.  I was very surprised at both.  If you have shorter run it may work better.  The larger diameter would reduce pressure drop but temp rise would be worse (as a quick guess).

Hi, Tracy....thanks for the heads up....any more info would be appreciated....was it a long scat tube, and was it 3 inch diameter?  I assume you could not ingest enough air?  Thanks for any more info you can provide.  Paul Conner

You have exactly described the first intake scheme I tried on the Renesis (NACA, Scat tube, etc).  Hope it works better for you than it did for me.
