like I am going to need some of your fine apex seals as well as "O" rings,
seals, etc. so don't goof off there at Sun & Fun too long, you have
customers waiting {:>).
Seriously, hope everything is going great and you and
Laura and all the gang are having a great time. By the way, remind Laura
about the banquet ticket to Van's evening - might want to let them know I won't
be there. If the ticket is already paid for (I think I did that by credit
card) then see if anyone there might want to use it.

Hi Paul, the scat tube was 2.75" dia & about 4 ft long.
Gave me a major power loss (compared to ram air) partly due to pressure drop
(1 - 2" Hg) and partly due to temperature rise, about 25 - 30 F. I was
very surprised at both. If you have shorter run it may work
better. The larger diameter would reduce pressure drop but temp rise
would be worse (as a quick guess).

You have exactly described the first intake scheme I tried on the
Renesis (NACA, Scat tube, etc). Hope it works better for you than it
did for me.
