Thanks, Todd
I won't say I am getting use to it (and don't want
to get use to it {:>)), but its not quite as alarming as the first time - of
course knowing where I was at and knowing the local airfields helped. I
generally fly as high as I can when traveling any distance and had reached 7000
MSL when the trouble started which gave me time and options.
I probably could have made it to my home field, but
narrow and fairly short and I just didn't relish the possibility of having to
attempt a-go-around on one rotor if I botched the approach.
One thing for certain a 4 banger lycoming would not
have had the success with two cylinders gone. Still impressed by the
robustness of the engine and ability to continue running despite
damage.

Hi
Ed;
Sorry to hear of your troubles, but glad that you were
able to get it safely back on the ground. I guess all that deadstick
experience has kept you prepared for anything ;-)
Hopefully you are able to rebuild with a minimum of cost
and get back in the air quickly (and away from that ghetto airpark).
