My RV-8 buddy used to teach formation flying when it was in the Navy, = and he taught me the basics when I had my RV-8. I also have some Air Force instructor friends with RV's as well. For my initial training, I had an = AF Colonel in the back seat of my RV-8, practicing with a Navy Commander in = his RV-8. I think the most it cost me was lunch :-) =20 =20 The biggest challenge so far was flying with my RV-8 buddy, and a third = RV. The third plane was an RV-3, flown by a retired F-14 pilot, who was a = runner up for the Blue Angels team. That guy was awesome, and didn't let us = get away with anything. We even ended the flight with a "fan break" over = the field. =20 =20 I REALLY enjoy formation flying.
