Well, Bill, we certainly met that definition of formation - actually,  I think we were  a bit tighter than that - but not by much {:>)- have a photo somewhere of 4 rotary powered aircraft in "formation" - but certainly, I don't think the blue angles have anything to worry about. {:>)  Ah, found the photos taken by Chuck Dunlap flying the "yellow bird".  Here they are for your enjoyment. We started off pretty loose but did manage to tighten it up a bit - no comparison to the formation flying you military pilots have done - but, we thought it neat {:>)
