The psru bolts are #10’s, so I
figured that 222 would be the color of choice.

Use purple on 1/4" and smaller fasteners because you CAN get it
loose without destroying the head. Motorcycles use lots of 6mm and I have
found the #222 friendlier here; 242 works too but it is harder to remove the
fastener. Just depends on the requirement?

of useful information there, but I couldn’t find anything on Purple
Locktite (222). It was listed on the back of the package of Blue that I
had at home. I’ll check the auto parts stores this weekend.

they have an excellent product search
feature. You enter the info as to your required use and it will list all
applicable products along with product data sheets.
