I had to find out more. Here's a quote from: http://www.germancarfans.com/print.cfm/ID/2050118.013/lang/eng "The electrical water pump is yet another innovation in technology. Operating fully autonomously, the water pump is controlled exclusively as a function of the engine___s actual cooling requirements, regardless of current engine speed. This provides a significant reduction of fuel consumption, BMW___s system taking up a maximum of 200 W engine output as opposed to the power uptake of a conventional water pump of up to 2 kW." OK, so 200 W is about 17 amps. The Meziere WP336 is supposed to draw about 11 amps, but since the WP136 draws about 30-40% more than it was supposed to, the WP336 may need 15 amps or so. BTW Rusty, did you get your flow meter, and have you made any progress on doing the hot water flow test? That's going to determine whether I stick with the two WP136's or go with a single WP336.
