I can confirm that I'm using 15mm x 1.5p Saginaw to AN6 fittings
for my GM fuel filters, as Ed had recommended a couple of years ago. If
you're using a plain 15mm x 1.5p adapter fitting, then how are you getting them
to seal?

Are you using the same
filters Ed and I mentioned? What I have is the AC Delco #GF481 equivalent
from Puralator (because that's what Advanced Auto sells). This filter has
16mm x 1.5 (not 15mm x 1.5) female threads. The Earls fitting that I
quoted ( 991955) is an o-ring seal type fitting that converts to
AN-6.
