Rusty,
I can confirm that I'm using 15mm x 1.5p Saginaw to AN6 fittings for my GM fuel filters, as Ed had recommended a couple of years ago.  If you're using a plain 15mm x 1.5p adapter fitting, then how are you getting them to seal?

I am using dual GM fuel filters on my 3-rotor installation and they do
require a Saginaw to AN-6 adapter.

I did a search on Saginaw fittings, and came up with at least a couple
different sizes.  I use the common GM EFI filters, and below is a note I
made about the fittings.

Cheers,
Rusty (didn't say EWP once...Doh!)

Found out that you can buy the standard Chevy EFI filter for about $6 in any
brand, and at any auto parts store.  It has an odd metric thread on the ends
of 16mm x 1.5p, but there's an AN adapter made for it.  Earls part number
for the adapter is 991955.  The filter is- AC Delco # GF481, Purolator #
F33144.
