I used a 20 + year old boat bilge pump with a 7/8 in outlet . Current draw was 3.86 amps. With an average discharge height of 8 inches it pumped 23.6 gallons/minute. Watching the flow rate, I felt it was sufficient to work on a 13B. I recently bought a Renesis engine. It was in an automatic equipped RX-8. It has one 2 5/8 in dia. throttle valve controlling the intake. I would expect an Ellison with about that diameter to work also. The intake runner from the throttle valve to the block is 24 -25 inches. I know the automatic equipped cars are limited to lower rpm and hp compared to the standard shift RX-8. Does anyone know what is different that changes the hp rating? Thanks Dennis H.
