my flanges came back from Laser Cutting Services.  They have been great people to deal with.  I left the slug in the one flange to show how thin a cut the laser makes.  Apparently water jet cutting produces even a finer cut, but for small production runs laser is cheaper.  These are 3/8" 304 stainless. They cost almost the same price as I was getting quoted for raw materials, ($25/each), and knowing how hard stainless is to work with, an easy decision.

Hi Bobby,

Here is what I have used for over 260 hours of flying.  They are GM EFI fuel filters come as either thread fittings or hose/clamp type.  They can be found in every auto parts store, they are cheap ($5-$7) and they work fine.

I use a coarse screen filter between the tanks and EFI pumps.

What is the consensus on EFI filter size. 100 , 40 , 10 microns? This is between the pumps and fuel rail.

Also, is anyone using filters / filter between the tanks and the EFI pumps?

Thanks,

Bobby Hughes
