Ernest, I have always wondered about the EWP. While I'm not a Lamar reactionary, I would like to know if anybody is NOW FLYING with an EWP as their primary water pump. This is not intended to start an arguement, it's just a question. Bill Jepson

And the answer is yes, Todd is flying with only the Davies Craig EWP.  At one point he only had one of these, and now he has a second, but purely for redundancy.  He never had any problems using only the single pump.

I have the same pump in series with my mechanical pump.  I've run this on the ground without the belt, and haven't had any problems that I can tell, but I won't intentionally take off without my alternator, so I haven't flown it with only the EWP.   Now when you guys get this backup alternator into production...

I almost nuked the mechanical pump during this current rework, but decided that I had too many other things to do already, and didn't want to drag this out any longer than needed.  The single rotor project will have no mechanical pump.  I've already got the nice Meziere adapter in hand, and a boat from Oz will be bringing me another EWP and controller soon.

Cheers,
Rusty
