I've run this = on the ground without the belt, and haven't had any problems that I can = tell, but I won't intentionally take off without my alternator, so I haven't = flown it with only the EWP. Now when you guys get this backup alternator = into production... =20 I almost nuked the mechanical pump during this current rework, but = decided that I had too many other things to do already, and didn't want to drag = this out any longer than needed. The single rotor project will have no mechanical pump.
