Hi, Rusty....I could add one, I suppose. My aluminum
tank is located on the cold side of the fuselage (behind the rear seat), and
always feels cool to the touch, even after an hour of flight. Of course,
I have not had my hand calibrated lately, but if the tank was getting warm, it
would seem that I would be able to feel it with the palm of my hand.
Hi
Paul,
I guess
that counts as a sensor. You could add fuel cooling if you wave a fan at
the tank. The time I'd be worried about, is just the
situation that you had on your last flight. Basically, you had the
engine compartment really hot, then ran at idle prior to takeoff.
During this idle time, there's very little new, cool fuel coming in from the
main tank, and you're circulating the same fuel over and over
through the hot rails. How much does this header tank
hold?
Cheers,

Hi,
Rusty....it only holds about 1 1/2 gallons. Paul
