The mule concept is good one and I've been referring to my RV-4
as a test mule for over 10 years (and it looks the part!). For
the more risky preliminary tests I use an engine stand with an IVO prop for
loading.
The trouble with an automotive mule is the labor overhead involved in an
engine swap. Same thing applies to an airboat. I just can't afford
the time but I fully admit that it would be more fun. There IS a boat
in the South hanger which will be rotary powered when I get the time.
Tracy
I've always thought that an airboat
would be a great "mule" for Tracy, the river is right there. Knowing
Tracy, he'd get his going 150kts!
Yo Jesse,
Thanks for the support about the "mule"
concept. I've been doing it this way for 30 years. Works!!
