Rusty,
You were looking
for a banjo fitting for the oil return line from the cooler. Here’s another option to avoid the
engine mount.
Take a metric-to-AN
fitting, M18x1.5 to AN-10 male and cut it in half. Drill out each half slightly and insert a piece of 5/8” 4130
and braze. Very strong, easy to
get on and off, and avoids the engine mount (looks close in this picture, but
length of tube determines how much you’ll miss the mount). 3.5” of tubing will work well. You’d think it might break, but if you
have about ½” of the tube brazed inside each end (2.5” of exposed tube), you’ll
see this is strong and well supported from within the engine threading. The 5/8” 4130 I used was 0.62” wall
thickness, leaving the interior at ½”, preserving the AN-10 flow rate. Took about an hour to make.

return banjo fitting?
Rusty,
I have eliminated all my banjo fittings. You can get the adapters from Summit
Racing.

Hi Buly,
Getting a metric to AN
adapter is relatively easy, but it won't fit. The engine mount
portion of the CCI mount plate gets in the way of the oil return fitting,
so you can only use something very low profile, like a banjo
fitting. Another thought would be to build the oil return into the
oil filter adapter block, like I believe is done on the FD.
My current fitting has surprised me by not leaking, but I don't want
to push my luck.
Cheers,
Rusty
