About 10 years ago, I was in Hood River, OR on
business.  I went to a resteraunt on night, out in the
boonies with some of the local employees, and saw my
first moose.  I was literaly amazed as to how big they
are.  Unless you see one yourself, it is hard to
envision just how large they are.  

I certainly wouldn't want to meet up with one in the
woods.  I hear that they are quite territorial,
especially during mating season.
