Hi Jerry,

I'm using the Mezarie WP136 water pumps.  I have most of the pieces to
put everything together, but have not installed them on the plane yet.

PL did finally put it on his closed loop system:

"It started cavitating at 6 psi back pressure with no discernible
flow on the flow meter. Off scale on the bottom of the
flow meter. You could hear and feel it rattle. I could not
believe what I was seeing and I had Kluse come over and verify
what was happening and see if I was doing something wrong.
We bleed the flow meter and the pump. Same thing." said Paul Lamar

Of course I had already told him the head pressure was 6 psi for the
pump.  Whether or not 6 psi is enough remains to be seen.  I will
initially test two pumps in parallel, and if the flow/cooling isn't
enough, I will try them in series.  In series the head pressure is 12
psi.  (I've already measured it.)  Which method will result in the most
flow depends on how much restriction there is in the rest of the system.
If it is very low, parallel will have higher flow, and if it is higher,
series will be better.

Here is a link to the analysis Bill Schertz did on Todd Bartram's
cooling system: http://www.acre-media.org/schertz/EWP_analysis.html
Bill's analysis would indicate that Todd's system was marginally
adequate given the assumptions used.  Some were overly conservative, and
Todd has reported better results than would be expected from the
analysis.
