I'm planning to just use a mechanical cable
to manually control the wastegate for my normalized setup.
That was my plan too, until I explained it to the rotary expert at Japtrix, just down the road from me. He said why bother? His suggestion was to loose the weight of the wastegate, weld up the opening and use a pop-off valve, then control the boost below the pop-off pressure using throttle. This is what Greg Richter did, and it worked for him, so I think I'll go that way. DO you have any pressing reasons why this wouldnt work?
