The original prop was a
64 x 78. I replaced it with a 62 x
72, same manufacturer. Should take less power to swing it, which one would
expect more rpm’s? Paul Conner
I agree. Did you
do anything else to the engine since the last time you recorded a max
rpm? I just can't imagine not getting any more rpm with a
smaller prop. The only thing I can think of is to check
the MicroTech for a rev limiter setting. From
the info I can get on Google, it appears to have a hard and soft rev limit
setting that's programmable. You wouldn't think that any unit set up for a
rotary engine would default to a low setting like that, but it's worth
checking.
