Kenny Boy,

A wombat is an Ozzie MARSUPIAL.  One of our favourite characters over here is Wally,  the hairy nosed muddle headed wombat.

For more info on Wally,  see:

So in Ozzie slang,  a "wombat" is someone who is a bit muddle headed (bit of a dork,  a drongo,  I mean,  all the stadium lights are on,  but there's no-one in the grandstand - shop's open,  but there's no one behind the counter - got a few kangaroos loose in the top paddock so to speak - a couple of snangs (sausages) short of a barbie (barbecue grill,  not the doll!)).

Enjoy!

Leon

Wombats rule - are you old enough to remember Hodako motorcycles or are you referring to the Australian marcupial (sp?)?   BTW, good plan on the engine.

Greetings,

After some email exchanges, and general soul searching, I called Bruce today to see what my options were.

One is the Renesis, at about $5700 complete from him.  He's got a few of these in stock BTW.  At this point, I just can't imagine starting over with an engine installation, and that's just about what it would be.  Can't think of much that wouldn't have to be modified, so this just ain't gonna happen.

Second option is the easiest of all, and quite a bit cheaper, so that's the way I'm going.  I'll have Bruce supply two new (ceramic coated) 9.7 rotors, and I'll keep my good front rotor for the single rotor project.  I may let him get it coated at the same time, haven't decided.  Bruce will also supply a new center, and rear housing, and will port them to match the front housing I already have (which he originally ported).  I might even send him the stationary gears as well, to make sure he agrees that the bearings are OK.   I've already got the master rebuild kit on the way, so all I should have to do is re-assemble the parts, and be right back where I started.  I'm guessing it would be 3-4 weeks before I get everything in hand.

I'm going to have him leave the oil filter boss intact this time, since I seem to have room for it.  Who had that 45 degree, angled down filter adapter block?  Paul??  Sure would solve my filter problems if I can make something like that work.   Can you post the pic again?

Anyway, that's the plan.  I'll sent Bruce an email tonight with the shopping list.

Cheers,
Rusty (Wombats rule)
