Did you spray water into your plenum? I found this: "Don't turn up the hose
to full pressure--a concentrated blast of water can be actually bend the fins
of the radiator." here:

Or fly thru rain since the last time you looked at these things?? Also, I
wonder what path your hot-water overflow took. Could it have gone into the
plenum? Skydivers standing outside on the step in light rain have told me it
felt like they were being shot with BB's.
