For the past year, I've had a builders policy for the RV-3B from Avemco, but that runs out in June. = Since I expect to be flying by the end of June, I asked Avemco about a normal liability policy, and they said can only offer me 100K/100K/1M coverage = for my plane. This won't do, so Avemco is out. =20 They suggested that I could call Falcon, since I guess they took over = the EAA program last year. I also recall that SkySmith is a pretty = reasonable outfit when it comes to homebuilts. I'll call both of these tomorrow, = to see what they can offer for the RV-3B. Are there any other companies I should call? Anyone had any particularly good experience in regard to companies accepting rotary engine aircraft? =20 =20 FWIW, I really have two problems when it comes to insurance. One is the usual auto engine problem, and the other is the RV-3 wing stigma. I = have the new wings, and my plane is registered as RV-3B, so I hope I can = avoid some of that.
