Is there info in the archives, or another site that would provide diagrams or photos of what is done to the ports to improve breathing?

Here's a page that shows various ports, and describes what to expect.   Most folks with ported engines have something along the lines of a "street port", generally using the Racing Beat template.  I believe that's what Bruce T did to mine, and Tracy's (now removed) 13B.  .

I am rebuilding my 20B as a normally aspirated engine to install in the RV-10 I am building, and the 240 HP from stock is a little less than I would like.  Any input would be greatly appreciated.

As Al mentioned, you should be able to do much better than that, particularly if you're willing to run a C drive, and the RPM's necessary to make power.  Tracy documented over 200 HP from his 13B in the very low 7000 rpm range, and I expect to do the same.  That would give you 300 HP for a 20B if you could duplicate that level of development.  I would consider that about the limit of what you could expect from a NA engine though, and it will require porting, high compression rotors, a good intake, exhaust, etc.
