Only the 20B version of the EC2 uses the staging relay.  I think Al is correct.  There is something causing it not to be staged when it should be.  That problem must be found and corrected before anything else can be guessed at.  I hope it's not an error in the instructions.  I'll review the 20B design and get some questions & tests to you Al.

Thanks, Tracy.  You’ll recall that this EC2 operated normally for the dyno runs with the same wiring harness, just different routing of the wires.  Same relay - same wires.  But it was back for updating since then, so there if an error is in there, I guess it had to introduced at the updating.
