Attached are a couple of photos of the modified cooling set up. I had
trouble purging air from the system, so I replaced the 90 degree hose
fitting with a 90 degree 3/4" NPT to AN-16, drilled and tapped a 1/4" NPT in
the side, which feeds to the bottom of the header tank. I also moved the
temperature probe to the plate on top, because in the stock location, the
metric to NPT adapter kept the probe from getting into the water stream.
Te weather has not been good enough to fly, but the ground testing looks
very promising. No more gurgling on shut down, and the ground cooling is
better than it ever has been. Now if it carries through to the air, I';; be
happy.
