I have to wonder..  any loss of lift or disruption  with the use of that arrangement? Anyone else doing it that way or are you the first that you know of..  Finally... temperature issues. I remember when we did post cure on the airframe on a hot july day, we coated it in black plastic in the yard. I dont recall seeing 200 degree F temps... what are you using to keep the foam near the radiators from approaching that temp and post-curing additionally?
 
I LIKE what I'm seeing but I am concerned too (I plan someday to build my own, so I don't have to mooch off Chris all the time for airplane priveledges)

Al, just wondering if you could pass on your numbers for your oil cooler installation. Do you know what size [ sqr inch] your inlet, cooler and exit are?  did you use a NACA on the bottom side of the wing?

The oil cooler core is 5.31” x 21.5” = 114 sq. in.  The inlet is 1.15 x 22 = 25 sq. in.  The exit is about 1.8” by 22” = 40 sq. in.

 

The inlet “duct” goes in at about a 45 degree angle, and has an airfoil shaped “lip” along the trailing edge that extends about ½” below the lower surface of the wing.
