I would think if you can salvage the
rudder spar, that would save a lot of work in getting the new one to
fit.
Hi Kevin,
I think I'll skip the glue, but I will be
salvaging the skeleton of both the aileron, and rudder. In fact, the
new skins just got delivered a few minutes ago by FedEx Saver (cheaper than
3 day UPS apparently). At first, I thought it would be easier to make a new skeleton, since
there were so many holes to match, but when I looked at the plans, I remembered
that all those holes in the middle are just skin stiffeners. I just have
to decide now if it's easier to bring home the tools, and do it here, or do it
at the hanger.
