I = can fix the rudder and aileron in a good weekend of work, and should have = the parts by mid week. Total cost $150 :-) =20 =20 The cowl is a bit rougher than before. It wasn't on the plane (when is = it ever ), but was just sitting in the middle of the floor. When I = first saw the hanger after the storm, it was sitting right where I left it, = even though the walls and doors were blown open. I thought that was mighty = odd, and later I noticed that it looks like I tied it to the truck, and = dragged it a few miles. Apparently, it departed the hanger, and tumbled for = some distance across the ramp. Someone downwind recognized it, and put it = back in my hanger before I got there. =20 The Kolb Slingshot is out of the picture as well, and I've actually surrendered the data plate, airworthiness cert, and registration to the = FAA due to the damage. The plane will be rebuilt, and flying again by about next Summer. Again, this is not so bad, because it will actually be = easier, and cheaper than building from scratch, which is what I had planned to = do before I found this one for sale. =20 =20 I presume this effects your attending the SERFI at Evergreen,AL next = week end. I think I am going to try to make it. I know Tracy had intended = to attend at one time but that could have changed given all you Florida = folks have been through.=20 =20 You presume correctly.
