However, on the 13B fuel rail there is a "Pulse Dampener" on one end of the secondary fuel rail. That can (and should) be removed for aviation use. A friend who owns a business repairing 13Bs (20 years experience) tells me that the diaphragm will eventually fatigue and crack leading to a fuel leak. He knows of several engine fires caused by this an recommends they not be used. I personally do not use one and have had no problems. On the other end of the fuel rail (of the 13b) is a fuel pressure regulator. Some people use that one and some use an after market pressure regulator, both appear to work fine.
