How do you get the fiberglass to release?  I usually ‘hard-coat’ with micro-glass slurry, then brush on mold release.  Or on small pieces carefully lay over a thickness of duct tape.

I brushed on 3 heavy coats of mold release, and I'm hoping that will be enough.  I usually use duct tape, but it would be tough to get duct tape to coat this without wrinkles.  I'm sure this won't leave a smooth surface inside, but expect that I will at least be able to get the foam out.  Also, the foam is soooo soft, that I expect it can be sanded out, along with the epoxy that will fill the porous surface.  Worst case, the engine can digest it :-)

BTW, thanks for the attempt at fiberglass education.  I'm afraid this isn't my best subject :-)
