Keep the reports coming.  How is the ducting to the oil cooler/ evaporator core?  If I am not mistaken that core has 300 cubic inches of volume versus the 180 or so in a stock Mazda cooler.  Thanks

Hi Joe,

The oil cooler evap core has a dedicated scoop, which has about a 12 sq in inlet, but not the ideal shape for pressure recovery.  There is no exit ducting, as it just dumps into the cowl.  I recently opened up the cowl cheek extensions again, and I don't know that it made much difference.  I really need to verify the oil temp reading again before getting too worried about this.

Those BUC imitation pics could have come at a good time.  I'm agonizing over where to get my new intake inlet air from.  One of the options is a scoop on top of the cowl, much like what Tracy had with his 13B.  I swore I wouldn't add any additional scoops, but I'm getting tired of compromising the intake.

Cheers,
Rusty (catching up)
