I ordered "blank" cowling direct from Van's cowling vendor and the engine mount direct from Van's engine mount vendor. Both were very nice to work with. - The "blank" cowling shipped in the Finish Kit with the canopy, std, no legal problems, because it was still a "Van's" cowling. Not so with engine mount - had to come shipped direct, not pass thru Van's. Cowling had no hole for induction air in lower center of cowling - I plan to cut my own hole and install a "theoretically perfect" duct down there to feed my two GM A/C cores/radiators and oil cooler under the rotary engine. I think the two cooling air holes (for Lyc) either side of the prop shaft hole are also "blank" (no hole). I'll have to clean up that area a bit as I think there is a depression there. I have phone numbers and names if you are interested off list.
