Rusty,
it seems to be a possilility to have a real simple set-up. There is still some work to be done to confirm what I think I have seen so far.
I modified the E-Shaft , yes it is a b..... the way I had to do it. This was only for the first one, the future will look different.
My present engine is, as far as the weight is concerned, comparable with the ROTAX 912.

I what I observed here holds up, the combo port idea may be dead making the one rotor a more simple and better engine.
This also reminded me of the NSU Wankel Spider, which did not have a cup and was running very fine.

Thanks for the report Richard.  Are you saying that you'll be able to just use a PP, with a carb, and no fancy linkage or other valves?  If so, that's great.

Curious, did you buy your e-shaft, or make it yourself.  I understand you can make one out of a 13B shaft, but it's a pretty serious lathe operation.   I'm neither qualified, nor equipped for such a job.

Also, remind me again what you think you will be able to get the weight down to.  I'm looking at a few planes that can use a 912ULS, and read that everything required for the engine weighed  163 lbs.

Rusty (I shouldn't be thinking about this...)
