... tomorrow :-)

Sorry, couldn't resist.  I spent almost all day working on the &*#%$ spinner.  Somehow I've managed to avoid fitting spinners all these years, so apparently, I've been lucky.

The prop is HUGE, and absolutely beautiful.  All the old men come by the hanger and drool over it.  Good thing it's got that sealer coat :-)

I'm off tomorrow, so I hope to have the spinner put together in the first hour, then mount the prop, tune the engine, and zoom zoom.  Of course the Navy will be stinking up the airspace (sorry Dave), so I have a 1400 ft ceiling.  Let's see, that's about 30 seconds of climb :-)

The biggest question is how bad the torque problem will be.   I'll build up enough speed to make the rudder work well before I go to full throttle.  I'm really hoping that it's good enough to fly for a while, to get done with the experimental time, and make all the fly-in's in Oct.

Cheers,
Rusty (check that input shaft yet Ed?)
