Yes, the GF481 filters are high pressure filters designed for the engine side of the fuel pump.

Rusty,

No instructions came with my pumps but I am comfortable with tight enough not to leak. I assume the filters (GF481) are on the pressure side of the pumps.  Is that correct?

Subject: [FlyRotary] Re: EFI Filter Question

Thanks for all the help.  I ordered my Walbro pumps for $119 each.  I ordered the fittings Rusty suggested below.  Everything has showed up and guess what, I've got more questions. :)  First, on the pumps, it looks like the fittings seal by crushing an aluminum washer.  Would it be ok to put fuel lube on the fitting also?

I don't think fuel lube will hurt, but I also don't expect it will help either.  The seal is made by the crush washer, and not the threads.

Anybody know what torque value to use or is good and tight sufficient?

Tight enough to not leak has been fine for mine :-)   You might check the instructions that came with the pumps if you haven't already.  I can't recall if there was any mention of torque values.

Second, on the filter (GF481), what seals the fitting to the filter?  That tiny O ring?  The fitting bottoms out in the filter by hand tightening.  It doesn't seem right.  What am I missing?  Thanks in advance.

That "tiny O ring" is keeping millions of cars from bursting into flames :-)   Good place for fuel lube though.

Cheers,
