  Do not know if you ever received answer to your question. Metering pump is gear driven by the

eccentric shaft.The flow rate is  controlled by a mechanical link to the throttlebody on all rotorys

through 1988. From 1989 on the flow rate is controlled by an electric motor on the metering pump

that is controlled by the EFI/IGN computer(ECU). Most of those flying are using the early pump

and have a manually adjusted flow rate. Mick (downunder) is the first that I am aware of to modify

an electric pump for a manual adjustment. FWIW
