I hope Rusty has the answer. I am also thinking the same way in that a properly designed duct will increase the efficiency of using the core instead of a thin radiator. My duct will run from the landing brake back past the firewall about 3 feet. It expands to the full width of the coolers. The RVs are successful with their short ducts so I am wondering how small length X width or how thick is optimum when a longer duct is used. Where in the strake are you locating it? Are you building a Cozy?
